Hospitality is off to a flying start and with any luck the summer will begin!!
We mentioned a couple of months ago a significant change taking place for us here at the Good Cheese Company; previous to the pandemic, we had started to realise that we were out growing our current premises and that we perhaps needed to start looking elsewhere. We were gaining new customers within hospitality, weddings were plentiful, consequently ample wedding cheese towers and platters to organise, it was beginning to feel that we needed more space.
When the pandemic hit, as we all know on line shopping became the absolute norm, consumer trends changed people were shopping locally and eating more take-out meals, this also resulted in us acquiring more customers from retail outlets and businesses offering the take away service, this was fantastic but the need for more space became more prevalent.
Having found the ideal premises, building work began and during the 3rd lockdown we started the process of painting and getting the premises ready, with a view to moving before 17th May in readiness for the re-opening of Hospitality; a few delays have put pay to this, so, from 3rd June we will be operating from a new unit at the back of Rose Farm, Utkinton, The premises are much more suitably designed for our business needs, also giving us the opportunity to expand even further as we plan cheese & wine tasting evenings… we are all very excited about the move and believe it will be a great new adventure.

We will endeavour to maintain the same delivery days to our customers however, we will let you know of any changes to this once we have moved. As always, our flexibility, commitment and service to our customers remains top priority.
Just a quick mention …. We will greatly miss our takeaway breakfasts, Lunches and delicious cakes from Alison’s Country Kitchen in Tattenhall – Thankyou Alison and the team for the wonderful home-made food we have had over the years.
As Summer is just around the corner, a reminder to you all about the sliced cheese we are offering for grilling and burgers. as mentioned in the previous newsletter, there are some excellent options, Piccante, Manchego, Crabtree, Blacksticks Blue & Paneer they’re all fabulous on Burgers and in particular the Piccante, Manchego and paneer are great grillers!!! Try something different on those special burgers or BBQ or add some sliced cheeses in your fridge cabinets.
We are now stocking Joseph Heler’s unsalted Butter priced at £2.40 for a 250g block. Great for baking! Add to your order when we call you. We currently stock Joseph Heler Cheshire butter 125g however, these are being discontinued and replaced with 250g. The price to be confirmed.
Don’t forget about the Netherend butter portions, perfect for picnics, platters, cheese boards and buffet breakfast counters.
Father’s Day 20th June, why not treat your special Dad to a lovely cheese board? … choose the cheese, we will cut it, present it on a bamboo board, include oatcake biscuits and Bobby B preserves chutney and deliver it to you.
Why not include the Old Hag Ale and mustard cheddar!! Add a little fun to the board!

Button Mill Brie from Butlers farmhouse cheeses deserves a mention this month; A fantastic alternative to baked camembert, this absolutely amazing baked delightfulness is worth a try, served with crusty bread and red onion marmalade it is a mouth-watering sensation!!
Stock arriving 2nd June, they are 150g & priced at £3.70, with a 30 day use by date; enough for two sharing, they are worth a try!!
