Blacksticks Blue won a Gold star at the great taste awards in 2021.
It is the original farmhouse cheese made by Butler’s farmhouse cheese in Lancashire. Using traditional handmade methods, and milk from the herds within a radius of 10km from the dairy.
It is made in open Vats, poured into individual moulds, turned and matured by hand, the orange comes from Annatto which is created from the seeds of the achiote tree, this not only gives the cheese the vibrant orange colour but also gives it extra flavour.
