We are delighted to announce our very exciting news…
It is a year in June since we moved The Good Cheese Company to Rose farm; we felt we wanted to commemorate this anniversary with the Platinum jubilee so, we decided to conglomerate the two events with something exceptional.
“The Good Cheese Company … Home of Tarporley Blue” …
Born in Derbyshire but sold in Cheshire
A new cheese commissioned by us and made exclusively for us by Hartington Creamery in the Heart of the Peak District.
The recipe for Tarporley Blue has been created by the Creamery.
A mild semi-soft blue cheese which could be described as a ‘beginners blue’ it is deliciously creamy with a slight herby undertone. Tarporley Blue has an edible rind and is brine ripened with the addition of annatto giving the cheese its rich golden colour.
Tarporley Blue is available from Monday 9th May as a 2kg round or we can cut it to suit your requirements, we are also cutting for retail, the cheese will be in 160g portions, wrapped in wax paper and labelled by The Good Cheese Company.
